My sweet Lilly Kate is 3!!!! September 8, 2010

Why is it so hard to believe that my baby is 3????  It’s seems like we just brought that sweet little red headed baby home from the hospital.  The thought crossed our minds that she wasn’t ours because she didn’t look like either one of us and had red hair.  But, it didn’t take long for her to turn into a spitting image of that John Crutchfield.  She’s been such a blessing to our lives.  She is very independent but so encouraging.  She tells me how “bootiful” I am on days when I look like a hag.  She gives the best and tightest hugs.  I’ve learned so much from her prayers at night.  She has a way of talking to Jesus that is just precious.  She just tells Him about her day and I’m sure He hears every word and loves that she includes Him in every detail.  Just a reminder that He’s probably waiting on all of us to talk to Him like that. Ok..so I’ve made myself cry as I’m sitting in the coffee shop typing this. Just wanted you to know how awesome my baby is.  Here’s her 3 year session.  She’s full of personality that’s for sure.  Hug your babies today and tell them how much you love them.

My Gorgeous Sister-in-law September 3, 2010

So, you got to see pics of my new nephew Cody a couple of days ago.  Well, here’s his mom, Lindsey, when  he was still in her tummy.  I love pregnant bellies!  Especially little tiny cute ones, like Lindsey’s.  I resembled a small heifer when I was pregnant and there are VERY few pictures to document that! Anyway, enough about my run in with cattle.  Here’s Lindsey.

The Killian Family September 2, 2010

Filed under: Family — kjcrutch @ 7:56 pm

I feel like part of this family.  I went to high school with 3 of them, prom date to one, a niece to another, cousin of two…and the list goes on:)  There is never a dull moment when they are around.  We pretty much laughed the entire time.  We shot their session at an exact replica of an old homeplace complete with an outhouse.  You’ll probably remember sweet little Hattie from another post.  You can see her session here.  She decided to like me this time.  No tears.  Good times.  Hold on tight for the last picture posted…just having a little fun with my uncle and the outhouse:) Hope you enjoy!

My favorite boys August 31, 2010

For whatever reason, God chose to bless me with girls.  Drama filled, tiara wearing, lipgloss loving girls.  But, he has put 3 special little boys in my life.  I get to be their aunt…and spoil them…rotten.  So, I would like to introduce you to Landon, Carter, and Cody.  Landon and Carter just celebrated their birthdays and little Cody just arrived so I wanted to dedicate this blog to my favorite boys…besides the super hot John Crutchfield of course.  I’m sure you  are going to fall in love with them just like I have:)

Ooh! Events – Charleston, SC August 25, 2010

For those of you dreaming of getting married in Charleston, Ooh! Events is the only planning, design, floral, and rental company I would use.  I was fortunate enough to capture  these images that represent the creativity and possibilities that Ooh! Events created for two brides.  Cotton Docks at Boone Hall Plantation and Legare Waring are two venues that are breathtaking.  Jim Smeal and Alejandro of Wedding Cakes by Jim Smeal created one of the most beautiful cakes I’ve ever seen and I was able to grab a shot of them carrying it in.  I love shooting families and weddings in Charleston because of the extraordinary natural elements.    I’m super blessed to have a family vacation home in Charleston that allows me to shoot in such a gorgeous place without the added expense of hotels and in turn I pass on the savings to my clients.  Enjoy!!!

Misty – Bridal Session August 24, 2010

Filed under: Brides — kjcrutch @ 8:56 am

This was Misty’s bridal session but her dog decided to steal the show.  So, I thought it would be fitting if the first picture of Misty’s session was sweet Addie:)

When Misty first contacted me, it was to be her wedding photographer.  Well, her fiance, Jason (who happens to be a lifelong friend) decided that, and this is in his words, “It wouldn’t be “American” if Kerri doesn’t sing in our wedding.” So I traded in my camera for a microphone and sang in their wedding:)  But, I was able to do an engagement session with both of them and a bridal session with Misty.  Here are a few from the bridal session and you can see the engagement session here.
